Frequently Asked Questions
Can I view my proofs online?
Yes! I use the premier online proofing company,
Pictage.com for online proofing. From
there, all your event
proofs can be viewed and reprinted, along with many other
options.
How many hours of shooting are included in the
wedding packages?
I
do not go by the hour!
How long will I stay at the reception?
I have heard so many times, "...the photographer
at (another wedding) left after the cake cutting and made the
bride and groom hurry through the everything else at the
reception." I am the guy who stays almost until the end of the
reception. Typically, I stay about one half hour until the DJ is
finished or sometimes later. By then, things can get quite
entertaining.
What about locations between the ceremony and
reception?
Those are included, I want to spend as much time in between as
we can with you.
Do you
ever offer a discount?
Yes, couples booking events taking place from November to March,
or Friday and Sunday (even in the summer) events receive a 5%
discount on their package. The discount cannot be
combined (for example, there is not a double discount for a
Friday wedding in November).
What kind of equipment do you use?
I currently use the latest Canon 35mm digital camera systems.
How soon will I get my proof catalog or proofs
after my wedding? How long will I receive my reprints after
ordering?
Approximately 4-6 weeks or sooner.
Do you have backup equipment?
Of course, flashes, cameras, everything.
What type of film do you use?
None. I am an all digital photographer and I carry more than
enough media (memory cards).
Can I get a color photograph printed in black and
white?
Yes, not only can you have it printed in black and white, but
classic sepia toned (prints with a brownish-red tone) prints can
be made as well from the digital files.
How much of a deposit is required?
$500 will reserve the date of your wedding and is required. It
is non-refundable.
How do I pay the remaining balance of my package?
Payments can be made monthly (there is no interest charge with
this plan). Or, you may pay the remaining balance (after initial
deposit) in three installments. Each due,
three months prior, two months prior and the last, one month
prior to the event.
Will you be the only one taking the photographs
and showing up at the wedding?
I
am the primary photographer. My assistants will shoot as well,
capturing spontaneous, fun and candid images.
What will I
wear?
Usually a modern style suit, I do not own any bow ties!
Will you boss
us around?
No, not at all. I'll be just like one of the "gang". Just ask
anyone who has worked with me, it isn't in my nature to be the
stereotypical
"old bossy photographer".
Is this my only job?
Yes, and I love it, it is
a dream come true. 90%of my photography is devoted to
shooting weddings in the Pittsburgh
area
(and anywhere else I am asked to go). I also shoot unique high
school seniors and, of course, engagement photos.
